Dorchester, September 2008

I took this during the Hub on Wheels bikeathon. It's a bikeathon that takes place entirely in the city of Boston. One of my favorite stretches was in Dorchester. First, we rode down a bike path that travels alongside the Mattapan Trolley route, with murals all along the wall on the trolley side of the path, and the Neponset River along the other side. That path comes out to a packed dirt/gravel path through the Neponset River Reservation, which then feeds into Pope John Paul II Park. This shot is looking back along the Neponset River Reservation part.
