Northeastern University, October 2008This statue of Cy Young stands in the middle of the Northeastern campus, on the onetime site of the mound of the Huntington Avenue Grounds, the Red Sox original park and location of the first World Series, won by the Red Sox in 1903, then led by their star pitcher, Mr. Cy Young. There is also a brass home plate at the site of the Grounds' home plate. I love the spot, I love the Cy.
