Honeylocust

Arnold Arboretum, February 2008

I went for a walk in the Arboretum with my father. We started our walk during a snow squall, near whiteout conditions. Within a few minutes, it started to clear, and by the time we left, it was bright blue skies and sunshine as far as the eye could see. We watched a red-tailed hawk circling overhead, looking for prey, its tail flashing in the sun on every circuit.
